Padel keeps growing worldwide. According to the FIP World Padel Report 2026, there are 91,234 padel courts across the globe, up 17.9% year on year, in around 28,500 clubs and venues and with more than 40 million players.
1. Court rental is where the money is
Court rental represents an estimated 67.2% of the €6,843 million spent on padel every year. That is why occupancy is the metric that matters most for clubs: a few extra points of occupancy translate directly into revenue.
2. Spain leads, the world follows
Spain has 17,730 courts, around 19.4% of the world total, followed by Italy (10,375), Argentina (7,450) and France (5,000). Asia accounted for around 31.7% of new courts in the period studied, with Indonesia among the fastest-growing markets.
3. Competition is going global
FIP scheduled 434 international tournaments in 62 countries in 2026, compared with 290 in 50 countries in 2025. Amateur competition is growing too — and it needs recurring infrastructure, not one-off draws.
4. Screens and sponsors are an untapped channel
Club screens can show bookings, draws, live results and rankings automatically. When competition generates content, sponsors can fund it — without extra work for club staff.
5. Integration beats replacement
Clubs already use booking and management tools. The next wave of value comes from connecting them: competition, signage, advertising and analytics working together through open APIs.
